I have a Million Things I need to do... So I did this instead.

I have a goal to use what I have, and if you could see my studio I have a lot, of stuff. Bags full of straws, pipe cleaners, feathers, glitter. (I really should have been a children s art teacher, but I am a little possessive of my junk. I am working on getting over that watching by Hoarders) I love that show, I am a little bit obsessed.

So using only stuff I already have I am going to make decorations for this beautiful tree that Ari picked out. (He did a good job) It is so perfect it almost looks fake. The presents under the tree are a collections of Christmas books that we re-wrap, so we open and ready one every night.

So this Silver Tinsel ribbon that I picked up before Zims went out of business (tear) and my box of book pages were my inspirations.
And this is what I made.....

Real simple and kind of cute. During the process I couldn't decide how I wanted the paper layered so I did this trial, I randomly punched out some paper and this is what I came up with. Perfect.

So that was a pretty good way to put off what I really need to do. This blogging thing really could become a handy way to avoid what I am suppose to be doing. (PTA IS FOR THE BIRDS, Just a warning).

I can't wait to make one of John.

I could think of something clever to write.

Or you could see cute pictures of my kids. Legolas and Peter Pan (both there own ideas.)

Nico is going to be Luke (Tatoinne, not jedi), and Ari is going to be Indiana Jones (he better making a small leather jacket really is hard and he better wear it), but they wanted to get dressed up for Red Butte's Garden After Dark, so this is what we did yesterday. Red Butte is always fun, and Ari in tights makes it even better. And Batman with boogers is pretty awesome too.

Guess who remembered their password?

Me.
Does it mean I will blog? I don't know, but it will be much more likely now. I was looking through this today and realized how much I really do like the people who read it.

Warning: This boy and dog are deceiving, though they might look cute, their actions defy this. They are not potty trained and like to tear things up into tiny little pieces. They do like to cuddle and are cute when they are asleep, which almost makes up for their terror through out the day.

Gocco Has Taken Over My Life.

And I think I love it.

I have been doing graduation announcements. One girl said that she likes planetary science which I really wish I were into. I need to be a little more rounded in my life (not round, mind you I already have that). These were all really fun to do. One was for a girl interning in DC hence the cherry blossoms. And then Elisa my sister, I thought the curry color was fitting. She is graduating from BYU, and then going to the UoU's Medical school in the fall. I am really proud of her and glad that she is going to be close by.

I need some Sense.

I am a Jane Austen fan, I think it is because I am a girl. Masterpiece (they have dropped the theater, it is so much more 2008 now) presented a new version of Sense and Sensibility. Which I loved, it seemed more real then the Ang Lee beautiful version. Elinor was much more believable then Emma Thompson who looked fifty, hooking up with with Hugh Grant. Instead Elinor was a perfect cross between Emily Shakespeare and her sister Amy. And MaryAnne might as well be played my Liz Davis. Anyways it was a good movie. I really just wanted everyone to see this Emily look a like.

Life, Lately

Okay, an exciting thing in my life, I got a gocco printer, LOVE IT!!!! (have you ever seen dragon tales, I wish I haven't) I did Niki Christensens graduation announcements. She said she wanted elegant, she is working in DC so I did a beautiful cherry blossom design. She then informed me she wasn't into flowers, I asked her what she was 'into' she said bikes. I am glad she was into bikes, I think I like it better the cherry blossoms anyways. I have already gotten another job to do announcements. I can't wait to do some of my own stuff.
Ari got a fish, named Coral. Coral likes to sleep upside down at the top of the tank. I am afraid to look every morning.
This is where Nico is spending a lot of time lately. What is up with three year olds, he is crazy.
Ari and John practicing, they have a pretty good song going. Ari really know his part. And will make John start over if he makes a mistake. John is starting over a lot.

Dead Puppies

Ari and Nico wants a puppy for Christmas. Nico says he wants a puppy named baby chihuahua , I don't think he cares that it is a chihuahua he just wants to call it that. John refuses, and I can't blame him. John said no, and Ari thought he was being tricky and said that he will get one any ways, he will just tell Santa to bring him one. John told him that Santa can't bring puppies, that it is to cold and they die in the sleigh, so Santa can't bring puppies. He bought it and knows he can't have one. Nico on the other hand, doesn't buy it. He keeps telling us, "Santa said Yes!" He asked Santa for one anyways, and I guess this guy said yes. I think he is going to be said, I might have to buy one of those breathing stuffed animals. Luckily we are babysiting Emily Shakes new chihuahua in January for a week. I think I want a puppy for Christmas to, but I don't dare tell John.

Mac & Cheese

Coco Has been sick. We spent last Saturday at the doctors doing breathing treatments. I hate it when my kids are sick, but there is something so sweet about a two year old with a raspy voice, who just wants to cuddle. After getting a shot of steroids and a good nap, Coco woke up and felt much better. He was hungry and wanted Mac & Cheese in a big bowl. I went through every bowl in the house, untill he approved this one.
Sick kids can get whatever they want to.
This is my new-old couch. Raul from San Jose Upholstery did a really good job, (is slc, so you don't get confused). I have had this couch for about 8 years now, it has moved with me up and down 45 flights of stairs over those years, and the whole time I have lifted this beast I knew that it would someday be beautiful. And I think i finally is, now I just have to make the rest of the room beautiful. (And sweep under the couch)

Star Wars Nerds

Ari the Tie-fighter Pilot. Thanks to a figurine that Morgan gave us. John did such a good job on the costume, he made the box in front really lights up and he made it out of pvc pipe and bondo. The boots are just shoes with vinyl glued to them. I need to get closes up so you can see what a good job John did.
Jedi Luke Nico, as he likes to say it. I can't believe how stoked he is on his costume. He was so set on being Jedi Luke, I tried to convince him of being a different Luke (a chubby three year old in all black can look pretty funny, I wanted to protect his feelings), but he wouldn't have it, he would say "no! Jedi Luke, two boots one glove". So there you have it.

Baby Needs Cigarettes

Saturdays War Protest, Ari made his own sign.

This woman wants to be Miss Utah, she wants to have her picture taken with children and uses the f-word a lot.
Ari made this sign also, we couldn't figure it out, I think he was trying to copy a ron paul sign (kim you should be proud).
After a long day of protesting (which really ended up being a nice peaceful walk from the capital to the courthouse, I can't believe how many hoops you have to jump through to do something like this, did you know a stick to hold a sign is considered a concealed weapon?)
Nico fell asleep, and became a stand for people to pick up the Mormon Worker. It is a paper that my siblings and friends have been working on, it is pretty interesting, and has gotten a really positive response from the Salt Lake Tribune and the Washington Post. I am proud of them. There website doesn't seem to be working, but please let me know if you would like a copy.

I heart my mom

I just want to say I love my mother. She schedule time with me on her calendar a month ago to come over on Oct. 19th. And she did come, and it was worth the wait. She helped me clean the boy’s room. She taught me all the tips like make the boys clean their room before they go to sleep, and they will not only sleep better, they will want it clean. I wish she had taught me this as a child, because I am afraid that I am becoming addicted to sleeping pills, and I do not want to clean my room at all. It was a lovely day, I love my boy’s room and just like to lay in it and look at all of the good kid stuff.

Kind of creepy but hot.

If anyone is stuck within 200 miles of my mom she will come and pick you up, that is just the type of person she is. I want to be just like her. (If you are stuck somewhere you might have to pay for the gas, I am still not as well to do as my Mom.) So I got to got to Pocatello Idaho to pick up some of Cory’s stranded friends. I guess the good people of Idaho don’t like to give rides to hitchhikers. I kind of understand, they kind of did stink. I just like that I got to spend time with my Mom two times in one week.
